Issues in Education

During our 20-plus years in providing technology solutions to the education industry, we’ve learned that every school district faces a unique set of challenges. But, as our clients know, there are also commonalities among districts big and small … rural or urban.

That’s why we’re proud to introduce Issues In Education – a quarterly survey distributed to hundreds of school districts across North America. After all the responses are tallied, our clients receive a summary that provides valuable insight into trends facing all districts.

October 2008 - A Closer Look at Education and the Economy

Overwhelmingly, nearly 80% of administrators said that the economy was affecting day-to-day operations in their districts, and just over half (53%) said that it was impacting professional development activities for teachers. The administrators' responses were split when asked if the new president could improve education.

July 2008 -- A Closer Look at Substitute Management

One-third of all districts consider their substitute management performance "excellent”. However, half of the districts place “first available” substitutes in classrooms – not people qualified to manage classrooms.
