Mid-Atlantic ERO Workshop a Success
We recently tested a new forum to train and interact with customers. The Mid-Atlantic ERO Workshop brought together 22 participants from 10 districts. Steve Schwartz, National Account Manager, and John May, Director of Product Management, worked with clients from the region to develop an agenda specific to their needs. Linda Thompson, Assistant Professional Development Director at Henrico County Public Schools (VA), graciously agreed to host the event at a local middle school.
Unlike traditional training opportunities, the workshop was designed to be highly interactive. When we first began discussing the idea, we had two goals:
- Showcase underused features to help administrators maximize the software’s capabilities
- Provide administrators with an opportunity to learn from each other
Judging by pre- and post-event survey responses, the workshop was a success. For example, prior to the workshop, less than half of the attendees believed they were highly skilled at managing the course catalog. After the training? A whopping 80% considered themselves highly skilled. Likewise, we saw dramatic improvements in managing profiles, importing and exporting data, reporting and using the “My Plan” and “mentor” features. Stay tuned for information about upcoming ERO workshops near you.
